State Convention Highlights
The Presidential Primary has been an interesting experience in Michigan this year. With the primary vote moved up to February 27, the Michigan GOP created a hybrid process that awards a total of 16 delegates after the primary and 39 delegates at the state convention. District caucuses were held this past Saturday in Grand Rapids. Going into the convention, Trump had 12 delegates and Haley had 4, based on the results of the primary.
Your 16 Cass County delegates/alternates nominated to attend the 5th District caucus at the convention were among the 98% supporting Trump in District 5. Trump won every district in the state, with an overall average support of ~97%, and was awarded the remaining 39 delegates to the National Convention.
Congratulations to our 5th District delegates elected to represent us at the National Convention in Wisconsin: Todd Gilman, Randy Hollister, and Jon Smith. Our district also elected National Committeewoman Hima Kolanagireddy and National Committeeman Dr. Rob Steele, who will represent our delegates at the national convention.
A big thank-you to State Senator Jonathon Lindsay and our 5th District Chair, J.D. Glaser, for uniting our party and giving a voice to those willing to participate.

Highlights
April 2024
As the action arm of the County GOP, members of the County Delegate Committee have been busy identifying Precinct Delegate vacancies, implementing recruitment plans, attending local government meetings, reaching out to county residents, and basically getting the word out that we are the party of liberty and integrity!
We started the April meeting with a guest speaker from the civil defense organization called the Michigan Home Guard. The organization is comprised of volunteers willing to share their expertise with various aspects of preparedness including disaster preparation, first aid, communication methods, neighborhood security, firearm training, and search and rescue techniques. For More information go to: Michigan Home Guard
Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00 pm. See you there!
