December Delegates Committee Highlights
Cass GOP County Delegates Committee Meeting
December 3, 2024

The group reflected on the successful election results and emphasized the need to begin planning for 2026 to maintain momentum. Concerns were raised about potential gubernatorial candidates. Senator Lindsey was praised for his conservative leadership in the state Senate.

New business included inviting Dr. Frank, a speaker on election interference, to speak to us at a future meeting.
There was an orientation for new and returning Precinct Delegates. Maintaining election integrity is critical, which includes cleaning up voter rolls and emphasizing the tangible impact of this work on county elections. We discussed fostering transparent communication between local officials and the community, with a focus on uniting around shared conservative and Christian values. State conventions are also important, where delegates influence party leadership and nominate candidates for key positions, shaping the party’s direction.
An overview of the County Delegates Committee’s purpose and accomplishments was presented, including sign placement, the Women for Trump initiative, election training, and the committee’s overall impact since its formation. This is an action-based committee focused on engaging the community and supporting the GOP.

We had a productive meeting, starting with a prayer by Linette and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Larry. The minutes from the May 23, 2024, meeting were approved without corrections, thanks to motions by Jerry and Lynn.

We discussed county signage plans, with additional funds approved for six signs. The email list merging project is ongoing, with future communications moving to the Wix platform.
For fundraising, Mary needs volunteers for the Cass County Fair (July 27-August 4), where we'll host a voter registration drive. Lisa is organizing an online auction to support our efforts.
In township reports, Lynn mentioned the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians' sewer line project, and Karen reported on Porter Township's financial savings. Concerns were raised about infrastructure and school board issues, including a $42 million millage proposal in Cassopolis.
