FREE presentation by Michigan-based journalist James David Dickson.

James David Dickson's presentation will cover a variety of subjects, such as revitalizing community-level political engagement, increasing transparency in government operations, examining how authority is exercised, and ensuring that decisions made at the state and local levels are understandable and relevant to the residents affected by them. He has built a distinctive journalism career, working in both established newsrooms and on independent media projects. During his time at the University of Michigan, Dickson served as editor of The Michigan Review and contributed columns to The Michigan Daily. Professionally, he has reported extensively on state and local politics, elections, and civic matters, with a notable period spent at The Detroit News. “We are pleased to host James and look forward to hearing his presentation on these topics, which are so important to our communities.
