November Executive Meeting Highlights

The Cass County GOP Executive Meeting on November 26, 2024, opened with Mark calling the meeting to order, followed by Stacey leading in prayer and Jeremiah leading the Pledge of Allegiance. The Secretary’s Report was approved, and the Treasurer’s Report was made available for review.
Guest speaker Todd, a candidate for 5th District Chair from Lenawee County, emphasized the need for improved communication among counties and increased engagement with precinct delegates. He also highlighted his commitment to holding elected officials accountable and staying in campaign mode. JD provided updates on the state committee, discussing upcoming changes that include potential fees for state chair candidates and revisions to ballot counting processes. He noted that these issues would be addressed at the December 5 meeting.
Special events were celebrated, with the campaign headquarters praised as a major success. Thousands of Trump signs were distributed, and events like Women for Trump rallies brought significant community engagement. Roger reported on the County Committee’s efforts, including the distribution of nearly 5,000 signs, door-knocking campaigns, and training sessions. Upcoming meetings will focus on orientation for new members and brainstorming for future initiatives.
Victor, the prosecutor, acknowledged the flipped House and cautioned against complacency during the lame duck session. He also commended Mike for creatively repurposing campaign signs. Jeff, the Drain Commissioner, emphasized the importance of opposing harmful legislation during this session and highlighted the completion of a critical project on Eagle Lake Road, with plans to refine the work in the spring.
Jeremiah shared his satisfaction with the election results and recounted positive feedback from his community, noting a shift in political support. He also outlined his efforts to address local infrastructure concerns and his support for wage negotiations to retain skilled personnel. Roseann shared her advocacy work, which received follow-up from representatives, reflecting their responsiveness.
Finally, Jon announced an upcoming bus trip to the inauguration on January 19, providing details and inviting attendees to join. Overall, the meeting showcased the group's dedication to leadership, community involvement, and advancing conservative values.

The Executive Meeting scheduled for December 24 has been canceled due to the holidays.
