September Executive Meeting Highlights

The Cass County GOP Executive Meeting on September 24, 2024, included important updates and discussions. Carter Chain from the 5th District Trump Team conducted a 25-minute poll challenger training, emphasizing the critical role of poll challengers and the availability of upcoming virtual classes. Brenda Beadenkopf provided an update for Women for Trump, inviting women and their families to the rally on September 28th at Sinclair Gas Station. T-shirts, yard signs, and door hangers would be available. Another rally is scheduled for October 26th, featuring speakers like Dr. Sherry O'Donnell and Allison Lindsey.
The committee approved contributions for several candidates, including $2,000 for Tom Langley, Jim Lawrence, Mike Grice, Steve Carra, and Brad Paquette, as well as $1,000 for others such as Kevin Whiteford and Kathy Schmalz. In addition, a motion was passed to donate to the animal shelter in Rick Schantz's name. Steve Carra proposed a $2,500 budget for get-out-the-vote efforts, which was approved by the committee.
Mark Howie announced the formation of a nominating committee for new officers, noting that he would not seek re-election as chair in the next term. Attendance at the September meeting remained steady, with over 60 participants attending to hear the Trump Force 47 presentation. A welcome packet for new precinct delegates is being created, and the next meeting is scheduled for December 3rd. The meeting concluded with discussions on voter outreach, focusing on engaging low propensity voters and supporting Trump's lead in key demographics.
